Tinubu/Shetima ticket: encouragement for ISWAP, Boko Haram growth – Adegoruwa

The Muslim-Muslim ticket chosen by All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential flag bearer Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has drawn criticism from Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebun-Olu Adegoruwa, who called it a bad decision.

In a statement released on Sunday, Adegoruwa claimed that Tinubu and his party’s most recent action was insensitive and unwise in a number of ways.

“Nigerians, whether Muslims, Christians, or Traditionalists, should reject APC with their ballots come 2023 because a Muslim-Muslim ticket in contemporary Nigeria is fuel for Boko Haram, encouragement for ISWAP, and a cry for terrorism to flourish more,” he stated.

Unless, of course, the people flaunting the ticket are also guilty. There is no more effective approach to offend our senses. I hope it’s not accurate.

Remember that Kashim Shetima, a former governor of Borno State, was chosen by Tinubu as his running partner for the 2023 presidential election.

The decision is made despite numerous warnings from the Christian Association of Nigerian CAN against electing people with the same religious background.
