Bad leadership cause of insecurity in Nigeria – Obetta

Chidi Obetta, the Labour Party’s candidate for the Igbo-Eze South/Nsukka Federal Constituency in Enugu State, has claimed that poor leadership is to blame for the nation’s unrest, insecurity, and other economic issues.

Obetta stated that he has no doubt that Nigeria can still be rebuilt given the current thirst for strong leadership being championed by Nigerian youngsters.

This was said on Sunday by the young politician, who had just become the LP candidate in Nsukka.

He bemoaned the nation’s wretched insecurity, economic collapse, poverty, and division.

“These longings are what led me to join the Labour Party, so that I could work with the young people in the current revolutionary movement to retake the government for the people of this nation,” he stated.

“Bad leadership is to blame for the unrest and instability that you see in Nigeria today.

“I want to reassure you that you won’t regret supporting me with such a significant number of votes in our federal constituency in the upcoming general election in 2023.

He expressed faith that Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, will win next year’s election while reiterating his party’s commitment to gaining a resounding majority of the popular vote.

In order to mobilize eligible voters in the area to go get their Permanent Voters Cards, or PVCs, and to sensitize them to vote for the Labour Party, he gave instructions to the party’s delegates and other members.

Ephraim Ugwu, secretary of the LP Electoral Committee, stated that the party is dedicated to presenting the greatest candidates for every elective office, beginning with the president and ending with the least position.

After tallying all 36 votes cast by the 36 delegates representing the two local governments that make up the federal constituency—Igbo-Eze South and Nsukka local governments—the returning officer for the primary election, Mr. Malachy Onyechi, declared Obetta the winner of the primary.
