A recognisable horn placement appears in the production, which was also sampled on Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love.”
The South has come together on a new record, with Saucy Santana and Latto collaborating on a music that they hope will end up on your summer party playlists. Every year around this time, musicians start releasing tracks in the hopes of becoming the summer’s biggest hit, and a solid twerk anthem may surely grab attention.
When Santana initially teased “Booty,” fans were quick to note that the song seemed to sample Beyoncé’s megahit “Crazy In Love.” Santana copied the Chi-Lites’ “Are You My Woman? (Tell Me So)”—the same tune sampled by Bey & Co for their classic—despite the fact that it was thought that Bey approved her track for the Florida singer.
Santana’s first single after signing with RCA Records is “Booty,” and it’s only right that he worked with his labelmate, Latto. Listen to “Booty” and tell us what you think.
