Kevin Gates has gotten a lot of attention. On Thursday, the rapper returned with “Super General,” a freestyle over Kodak Black’s “Super Gremlin.” It was a contentious release in which he took shots at Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, and Rubi Rose, addressed his marital status, and discussed some of the challenges he’s experienced in the industry.
He’s now following it up with a new single from his upcoming album. Gates unleashed the Khaza entrance this morning, and he’s back in beast mode. The rapper unleashes an unsettling banger that features operatic voices. While reminiscing on his struggle before entering the rap game, the Louisiana musician lays out his moral code. It’s a fantastic exhibition of Gates’ poetic skill, and the passion with which he pairs it sets the tone for his upcoming album.
