Out For Delivery EP Michael Aristotle

The lead single from Michael Aristotle’s upcoming album, “DEKALB,” features appearances from Erica Banks, Will Hill, and BLVCK.
Michael Aristotle, one of East Chain’s founding members, has returned with a brand-new EP, titled Out For Delivery, almost nine months after the Atlanta-based group was highlighted in HNHH’s “New Artists You Should Hear” editorial series.

The three-track release comes before Michael Aristotle’s eagerly awaited second studio album, DEKALB, and Wili Hendrixs of East Chain is exclusively responsible for its production. Erica Banks, Will Hill, and BLVCK all contribute guest lines to Out For Delivery, which has a short, under-nine-minute length and is a fantastic introduction to the gradually developing artist.

Michael Aristotle gives listeners three different moods with each song on the EP. The album’s opening single, “MULTIPLY,” is a high-octane, concert-ready anthem. On the follow-up tune, “PLAY YO’ PART,” the Atlanta-based rapper teams up with Erica Banks for a powerful, bass-rumbling track. “SILK ROBE,” the album’s final tune, has Michael Aristotle and Will Hill trading outstanding verses over its mellow four minutes.

“I finished the album’s rough draft in January, and we started mixing some of the tracks in February. I wasn’t in the mood to work on any music during the month of March since my mom, who my fans refer to as “Toni,” was quite ill for the whole of the month. At the end of March, two days before my birthday, my mother passed away. After organizing the funeral and seeing how it affected my family, I just wasn’t in the finest mental shape, says Michael Aristotle, who explains how this led to the creation of Out For Delivery.

“In April, Wili was experimenting with noises on his laptop the day after I returned to Atlanta from the funeral, and I began to feel like I needed to.
