Following their WCF showdown, Steph Curry and Luka Doncic show their affection.

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are headed to the NBA Finals once more. They’ve been there six times in the last eight seasons, with five of those visits occurring in a row from 2015 to 2019. The squad is without Kevin Durant, but they have excellent components in Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins, so they will have a decent opportunity to win it all regardless of whether they face the Celtics or the Heat.

Curry had to go toe-to-toe with players like Luka Doncic, who has established himself as the NBA’s future face. Doncic did not have the pieces to win this matchup in the end, but he garnered a lot of respect in the process.

Doncic and Curry had a lovely moment at halfcourt after last night’s series-clinching game, where they dapped each other up. As you can see, Curry has a great deal of respect for the Mavericks’ superstar, and Doncic reciprocates that admiration. There will be plenty of such matchups for these two in the future, and there may even be a change of guard, especially as Curry gets older.

The Warriors will now await their opponent in the Eastern Conference Finals, who is still alive. All signals lead to the Celtics, but only time will tell who emerges victorious from the Eastern Conference.
