Dreezy described working on this album with Hit-Boy as “a special moment for Hip Hop” when we spoke with her.
Dreezy teased this project when she sat down with us for our Ladies First series in March, and we’re happy to see that Hit-collaboration Boy’s album has arrived. The self-described “emotional gangster” has worked in nearly every aspect of the industry, with her pen reaching as far as television and writing blockbusters for her colleagues. Dreezy is ready to usher in a new age with Hit-Boy by her side, and they’ve delivered Hitgirl for New Music Friday (May 20).

“I’ve reached the point where I’m ready to leave. I’ve started writing music for other artists because I have so much music. I’ve written for television shows, as well as for myself “She informed us. “I’m already working on three projects for myself because I’ve been recording so much during the pandemic that I’m finally ready to have some fun and just release this music. Right now, we’re preparing to drop this project with Hit-Boy, a prominent producer. On the cooperation record, he’s not working with any other women besides me.”
