After being seen with expensive jewelry, Kawhi Leonard’s longterm girlfriend has sparked engagement speculations.
Kawhi Leonard, a two-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Clippers, was sighted at LAX on Tuesday with his longterm girlfriend Kishele Shipley, who was wearing a big ring on her left ring finger, raising suspicions of an engagement.
The mother of two was seen coming through LAX with Leonard, a gleaming new ring adorning her left ring finger. They’ve been dating for quite some time. They met at San Diego State and have been together ever since. They have two children together: Kaliyah, born in 2016, and a son, born in 2019.
Leonard is known for his reserved manner and the importance he places on privacy, so don’t expect any lavish announcements anytime soon. Kawhi and his team have not publicly announced the name of his son. Leonard’s representatives have declined to comment on whether or not the NBA star is engaged.
Due to a ruptured ACL sustained during the 2021 playoffs, Leonard missed the whole 2021-2022 season. For the duration of his career, the California native has been hampered by injuries. In 2017, he was unable to play for the San Antonio Spurs due to an injury to his right thigh. After being traded to the Toronto Raptors in 2018, he led them to their first NBA title and won his second Finals MVP award, making him one of only three players in NBA history to do so.
