QUIET MAN! Memphis Depay Is Set To Be Signed By Chelsea Owner Todd Boehly From Barcelona

Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea, has entered the competition to capture Memphis Depay from Manchester United.
According to The Mail, Barcelona would be open to trading Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso from Chelsea for right-back Sergino Dest and Depay from Barcelona.

Barcelona has already signed center-back Andreas Christensen from Stamford Bridge, while Chelsea let Antonio Rudiger to go for free to join Real Madrid this summer.

Alonso and Azpilicueta are in the last year of their contracts right now. Thomas Tuchel’s last opportunity to obtain something in exchange for the pair is probably now.

Dest, 21, has previously been connected to Chelsea and would give Reece James in the right wing some stiff competition.

In his first summer in charge, Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea, is eager to bring in big players. Cristiano Ronaldo of United and Raheem Sterling have also been mentioned as potential targets.

While negotiations with Ronaldo are still going on, the deal for Sterling is reportedly close to being finalized.

Depay, 28, struggled from 2015 to 2017 at Old Trafford, only managing two league goals.
