The rapper’s thoughts on death may be influenced by the death of Lil Keed, whom mother YoungBoy contacted following Keed’s death.
YoungBoy’s sad tone shines through in a new song. The 22-year-old rapper muses on his achievement and all he’s had to go through to get there over a contemplative piano-heavy beat. His vocals are lovely and melodious, yet his lyrics are heartbreaking. He describes the luxury that surrounds him, but maintains, “I still believe in myself.”
