Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton are set to star in a Formula One film.

On Apple TV, the racing legend will co-produce a new film with Brad Pitt.
In recognition of the sport that has captivated the globe in recent years, one of its biggest stars is directing a new film in its honour. Lewis Hamilton, the most successful Formula One driver in history, is directing and producing a new F1 film starring Brad Pitt. The new racing film will be available on Apple TV, with a theatrical premiere scheduled for 30 to 60 days before it becomes available for streaming.

For the still-untitled film, Hamilton will collaborate with Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, writer Ehren Kruger, and Jerry Bruckheimer Films producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. With this year’s Top Gun: Maverick, its director, Joseph Kosinski, demonstrated his hit-making potential. Kosinski tapped Brad Pitt and persuaded him to join the squad shortly after conversing with the seven-time champion.

Even without this revelation, Pitt will have a busy 2022, with projects co-starring Bad Bunny (Bullet Train) and Margot Robbie (Babylon) due out later in the year. While we don’t know when this new F1 film will be released, we do know that the Fight Club star will portray a 58-year-old former racer who returns to the fold to train a potential young talent.

After meeting Lewis Hamilton while working on Top Gun: Maverick after Tom Cruise put them in touch, director Joseph Kosinski was apparently inspired to depict this narrative.

Lewis Hamilton stated to reporters at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Friday that he will not be in the film because he “doesn’t want this movie to be trash” and instead wants to assure the film’s success, diversity, and dedication to the racing industry. Apple beat bid Amazon, Netflix, and MGM to obtain the rights in December 2021, indicating that his efforts had paid off.

In recent years, Formula 1 has grown in popularity at a rapid pace. Many people credit this to the Netflix original series Formula 1: Drive to Survive, which was a huge hit in 2019. The first-annual Miami Grand Prix, which took place in May, drew celebrities and legions of fans from all over the world.
