As the Anambra government demolishes his church, Prophet Odumeje is mercilessly beaten.

Chukwuemeka Odumeje, a well-known pastor in Onitsha also known as Indaboski Bahose, who attempted to halt the demolition of his church but was violently assaulted by security personnel in Onitsha.

The Anambra State government had designated Odumeje’s church as one of the structures resting on drainage channels and marked for demolition in March of this year.

A day after being sworn in, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, visited Okpoko, a large slum in Onitsha, and vowed to sanitize the region by making sure that drainages are clear.

Sources claim that during the demolition exercise on Thursday, Odumeje tried to stop the state government officials from destroying his church but was violently treated by the security guards who were accompanying the demolition crew.

A popular YouTube video depicted the comedic cleric being pushed around by security guards, including police officers and vigilante service members.

He received multiple slaps, and armed security guards stopped him from going to the demolition area.
